Research Support

Formerly known as the "Program Information Office," the Research Support Unit in the University of Florida's Office of Research provides assistance in planning and coordinating large research initiatives involving interdisciplinary expertise. We provide assistance in the preparation of grants and contracts to major extramural research sponsors that involve multiple schools, colleges, divisions, or institutions to support new research programs at the University of Florida. The unit publishes the biweekly online newsletter "FYI," a resource for faculty investigating funding sources, and coordinates the annual Research Opportunity Fund program. In conjunction with the Research Deans of all colleges, the unit also coordinates the selection of the university's nominees for all limited application programs.
